Easter Weekend!

We had a very busy and very productive Easter weekend! It started Friday morning when we--Isaac and I--got to play with Sophie! Out of the blue Isaac just started going up to her and giving her hugs, it was pretty cute, especially her face saying, "What is he doing to me?!" It was so fun!

After playing with Sophie, Isaac and I made sugar cookies with Jodie and Mason. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures from that....yet....(*Wink, wink Jodie!) :) We were laughing at how we were making sure the boys didn't eat the entire batter, so we ended up not eating any ourselves... (Ok, I did have a little!) It was a great morning and we had tons of fun!

That night, we were in the mood to get out and do some more, so we went to Chick-Fil-A with the Lamoreaux's. Talk about great company and cheap entertainment for the kids! :) We loved it! Here's Isaac not sure what to do yet....

And now he's got it! There is Joshua, then Isaac, and then Austin. Isaac and Austin are a few months apart.

Here's Isaac and Austin, I love this picture!! (I have no idea who the kid in the red shirt is).

I love this picture of Isaac on the slide....and you can see how dirty he got from making sugar cookies earlier in the day. (And yes, I did not change his shirt when we originally got home. We got home, I put him down for a nap and then by the time he woke up from his nap, whats the point of putting a new shirt on?!) :)

Saturday was a busy baking day for me. For whatever reason, I decided to make some Easter cupcakes...it originally started out as just making enough for my Sunday School class, then it turned into making enough for Taylor's Priests, and then it turned into making some for friends in the ward and for people who made us meals the past week. So, I ended up making about 72 cupcakes---while it did take forever and my body was ready for a rest, I loved making them! (And really, Kim, I wanted you to see them because I knew you'd appreciate them!)

Since the cupcakes took forever, we missed dying Easter eggs with the Hendricks, so we ended up inviting Nana and Papa over to do them with us that night. I figured Isaac was still a little too young to really grasp the concept of the eggs, which I was right, but it was still fun....Isaac liked drinking the dyed water and squishing the egg....hahaha.... proof that he used the spoon to drink the dye:
Loved dropping the egg in the water and watching the blue water splash everywhere...

Nana and Papa!

Love this picture of Nana and Isaac!

And this picture of Daddy and Isaac!
And the proof of his squishing.... yuck!

Check out his blue hands!
EASTER SUNDAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Easter Sunday marked a BIG milestone for Isaac. His first official day in nursery! And he did so well, I was so proud of him! All through Relief Society I would cringe every time the door opened in fear it was Isaac not handling nursery well, but alas! He cried at the very beginning when Taylor left, but after that, he was good to go. I went to get him after church and they were doing bubbles and he didn't even want to come to me....sad! (Granted, I rather it be that way than the opposite).
And after church and our Sunday naps and watching the Masters Golf tournament, we enjoyed a delicious honey baked ham dinner with my family. Hope everyone had a great Easter!

Hi Val! Your cookies and cupcakes look so good - I might have to make some for us! Isaac is so cute.

I just sent you an email at your Yahoo address - I'm not sure if that's the right one. Let me know if you get it.

I hope everything is going well!
