This morning Beau decided to climb up on our bar stool...something he does often. But this morning the bar stool fell backwards, with Beau on it!
Right away his foot was bruised, which I have now learned that a bruise is a sign of a broken bone. He was unwilling - or unable - to walk on it.
At the same time this was all happening, our dog ran off. So I was juggling Beau, because he wouldn't let me put him down, needing to get Madylin in her carseat, had to get the kids in the car to go find the dog and then take Beau to Urgent Care, all the while Beau was crying nonstop. Not to mention I was still in my pjs with no makeup or hair done, Madylin hadn't even gotten a diaper change yet and Beau was still in his pajamas as well. Thankfully Isaac had at least gotten dressed, even though his hair was indeed sticking up....
Fast forward all the boring details... Got to Urgent care, Beau wouldn't even put weight on his foot but he had finally stopped crying (after 45 mins of it). Got X-rays done, he asked for Isaac the whole time, and learned.....
His foot is NOT broken! Hallelujah!! He has a "Contusion" which is the crushing of deep tissue. Aka a bad bruise.
He hasn't walked on it yet, and it'll just take time to heal.
It's shocking to see my busy-body-two-year-old slow down!

Denver Nuggets Game
Isaac had a very special opportunity to go to a Denver Nuggets basketball game this past weekend with my parents.
My parents got him his own jersey--complete with his name on the back--and Isaac thought it was so awesome...pretty sure he's already worn it twice.
Isaac got spoiled by Nana & Papa-- he got ice cream, popcorn, cotton candy....and who knows what else. He was so happy that he got to stay up past his bedtime, too.
I'm grateful he had this opportunity to have one-on-one time with my parents and I hope he always remembers this experience!
