Day One, Monday, May 19

Here is our Disney World recap. It was a great trip...so let the journal begin...:-)

We flew from Denver to Orlando, and had to get up and leave EARLY. All went well, except when we got to the airport, I realized I needed to get wipes, then, when I went to change Isaac with the new wipes, I realized that I forgot to replenish the diapers in the diaper bag. Back to the same gift shop...I should have known this was how we were going to set the tone for the airport...because as soon as we get airborne, Isaac gets a poopie diaper and it STICKS. Have you ever tried to change a baby in an airplane bathroom!?!? Little did I know, there is actually a table like thing you can pull down above the toilet, but, I didn't know that. So I tried to change Isaac on top of the toilet lid and as soon as I open the diaper...he pees. So now it is all over the floor, I am trying to keep his head from falling back into an uncomfortable place and keep him from wanting to roll over...all in about a 1 foot by 1 foot space!!

But really...that was the end of that. Isaac fell asleep on the plane for about an hour and did great. I was worried when he wanted nothing to do with his bottle on take off, but it proved to not be an issue.

So, we arrived in Orlando safely around 4. Welcome heat and humidity!

On the train at the airport
Isaac in his cheap-o rental car seat. :-) It did the job though.

Once we got our bags and cars, we went to the resort to check in and get settled. We were starving at this point, so we ended off to dinner at some pizzeria. Isaac developed a love for chewing on straws and I just LOVE this picture.

And loves just about anything that goes in his mouth. He frequently will put something in his mouth and almost forget it's there because he will take his hands off and go to something else. This was a particularly funny picture....and Taylor thinks so too if you couldn't tell. :-) (That's Isaac's "1st visit to Disney World" pin he is gnawing on...)
But apparently, the heat and humidity got to Isaac because he CRASHED. Lately Isaac hasn't been much of a deep sleeper, but this night we unbuckled him from his car seat, walked all the way to our room, up stairs, etc, and he slept through it all!!

Day Two, Tuesday, May 20

Our first full day in Orlando and we definitely wore ourselves out. We started the day by going to SeaWorld...something we have not done in a LONG time. I thought Isaac would love seeing Shamu with all the water and movement, but he cared more about the people sitting behind us than the show...oh well!

And, I should note here that Isaac got his FIRST TWO BOTTOM TEETH this week!! This picture doesn't really show it, so I'll have to post more later. (we have learned that his high fevers that he had the week prior were because his teeth were rupturing through the surface...)

He actually watched for a second or two! :-)
And after the show...he crashed again!
I love this picture of my dad and Isaac...Isaac, the next stripling warrior! :-)
Look at the shark daddy won for Isaac...that we had to bring home...I'm still oh so happy about that! :-)
And then we all crashed...we were tired!
Once we all woke up from our naps, we headed to dinner...
Just so we could get energized for Epcot. Disney World has what is called "Extra Magic Hours" where the parks close to the public and if you are staying on a Disney property you get to go to the park after hours and ride the rides. We learned a few years ago that it is the only way to go. The heat is gone and the crowds are gone. Here is our attempt at a family picture....Isaac not looking...
And me looking at Isaac...oh well!
Isaac enjoyed his first FIREWORKS show...he was mesmerized!
Isn't that cute?!
He then zonked out in his stroller while we went on a few more rides...needless to say...it was a LATE night!

Day Three, Wednesday, May 21

Ok, on Wednesday we started the day off early when Taylor, my dad and I went to the Orlando Temple. It was so great!

Once we got back to the room, Taylor and I took Isaac to the pool. He enjoyed it a lot more than before. He was splashing like crazy, it was so funny.

He seriously was biting my jaw....it was hilarious!

Then that night we went to MGM or Disney's Hollywood Studios--again, during the extra magic hours. At this point, we know what rides we like so we just go to those and ride them over and over and over. Again...another late night. We were so exhausted!!!!!!!!
Don't be intimidated by my huge bicep! :-)

Day Four, Thursday, May 22

On Thursday, we went to Universal Studios theme park--Islands of Adventure. We have learned from past experiences that there are a lot of water rides there, so we just go to the park in our swimsuits.

The boys did another one of those carnival rides...no prizes this time...:-)
Isaac's FIRST theme park ride: Dr. Seuss's Cat in the Hat. Isaac was occupied with all the lights and movement...and I got yelled at over the loud speaker IN the ride for taking pictures...oops!

That night we went over to Downtown Disney and had dinner and then went to the World of Disney store, got some ice cream and then headed home.

Friday, May 23

Friday was our chill day...the boys woke up and went golfing and when they got back the girls went and got massages, it was heaven! After that, we all sat around the table and played games. It was a great and much needed day!

After our chill day, we went to Magic Kingdom that night. Isaac started the night off tired...uh oh!
At Magic Kingdom during their evening parade....

Isaac LOVED the lights!

We watched just a little bit of the parade so we could jet over to the rides to get on with little to no wait. Isaac's FIRST Disney ride...Pirates of the Caribbean! He was just the same...mesmerized plus extra tired!

My mom's favorite ride! Then, Isaac fell fast asleep. This is how he spent his naps...in the stroller with a blanket. That stroller was WONDERFUL. And, check out his cute little feet sticking out...:-) It rained tonight, but that didn't keep us from doing some of our favorite rides!

Saturday, May 24

Saturday was a great day...it was our shopping day! We went to two outlet malls and that pretty much occupied our entire day...mind you, we didn't even leave the room until 1:00 or so. :-) We ended the night with pizza, games and a movie, the best combination!

Along with chewing on straws, Isaac loves spoons!

My handsome husband...I sure love him!

Sunday, May 25

We found a nearby ward on Sunday and went to church...lucky for us, Isaac fell asleep when we were 10 minutes away and then never fell back asleep once we took him out. :-) Gotta love the timing. But look how cute he is...

That afternoon we went over to the last theme park: Animal Kingdom. We took the Disney buses and again, Isaac loved all the movement. And I love this picture...
Then we went to dinner at the Rainforest Cafe--my first experience there. It was fun and great, and then we tried to capture a family picture...Taylor was being a punk and wouldn't smile or when I thought he wasn't smiling, he was, and when I thought he was, he wasn't. :-)

There we go....I think my dad thought he was out of the camera angle. :-)
And then my dad and Taylor/Isaac tried to attack my mom and I in a picture...!
