4th of July

We flew out to Colorado for the 4th of July. We had talked about my parents coming to see us in Idaho for this weekend, but it never fell into place, so back in May my dad thought it would be fun to book tickets for us to come see them and keep it a surprise from my mom, sister, and brother-in-law. Taylor, my dad and I had plans in the making for forever! The entire week or two before my dad and I emailed back and forth on a daily basis about how fun this surprise was going to be. And...it was. We caught my mom's surprise on camera, so, sorry, no pictures. But, Taylor spent the morning on the John Deere Tractor, and Papa took Isaac for a ride on it as well! Then, my dad got this bubble gun and Isaac thought it was pretty cool.

Friday we spent the day with family and Emily Alley (she went out to Colorado for two weeks) and her sister-in-law (John's sister) Julie and her cute family. It was SO SO SO SO fun to spend the day with them!!!! We took Emily baby shopping (little did she know!) since she is expecting John Jr. in October, and then had a yummy BBQ, and then went to the Air Force Academy for the fireworks. It was an emotional experience to be on the Air Force Academy without John there. We reminisced about him and talked for at least an hour after the fireworks ended about him. I am so happy we got to spend time with them!! I love them dearly!!!
On Saturday, Taylor went golfing with my parents, I got my hair trimmed, went to lunch with my sister, and then took Isaac swimming at the club until Taylor finished golfing.
The weekend went by way too fast. Before we knew it, we were back at the airport to go home. We took the 10:00 flight from Denver to Idaho Falls, and what was an already late flight was even later when it was delayed half an hour. I thought Isaac would sleep in the car or once we got on the plane, but he was so over-stimulated that he couldn't sleep, but oh was he tired. He was a trooper though and fell asleep about the last 10 minutes of the flight. It was definitely a short night for us all but we loved being in Colorado and surprising my family!

Oh, and how could I forget, we waited to go through security at the airport, and in the meantime, my mom was down on the ground with Isaac crawling around! It was cute...

Look how happy Isaac is...I love this picture...even with the eyes closed!!! Thanks for a great weekend Nana and Papa!
