Day Three

A day at the pool! The girls love anything water, so what better place than to go to the pool! I must say, with all the activities we planned, they were planned perfectly with the weather! It was the best day to go to the pool--of all the nights, Tues. was the only night that didn't rain and that's the night we went to the baseball game--it was all perfect.

Isaac is usually a bit timid about all the spraying water at the pool, but he was like a new kid with Morgan around. Wherever she went--he went--whatever she did--he did. It was adorable.

And Syd met a nice boy at the pool named Quinn. They were both playing basketball in the pool individually and eventually said, "hi, what's your name and how old are you?" They were both the same age and from that point on they were always playing together.

Syd and Mo loved the water slide.

And then Syd asked me to take a picture of her and Quinn so that she could remember him because he was "such a nice boy." I thought that was so cute!

And Mo going down the other water slide...backwards and on her back...

Once we got home, Mo decided to open a "store" with all of Isaac's toys. She wanted me to take the picture of her with her looking at the cell phone like she was the "store owner." Such a creative girl.

That night we got pizza and rented a movie and ate popcorn. As for me, I got sun burned at the pool so I was in pain--my whole back was burnt...yuck! But it was another fun filled day!

Day Two

Day two started off with waffles and a drive to Woodland Park to see the Dinosaur Resource Center. It was cool for about 20 minutes then it was pretty lame. But after the 45 minute drive and price to get in, I told them we had to stay for at least an hour! So yes, would I go there again? No. Am I glad we went? Sure. I love how Isaac would pose with the girls.

They had a kid center where you could create your own dinosaur, I thought that was clever. Syd with her dinosaur.

And Mo with hers.

Even Isaac tried. :)
Then we had the lady start a story time. (They normally do story time, but I happened to ask when it would be and they said they would do one).

After the Dinosaur Center we went to the U.S. Air Force Academy. Taylor and I thought it would be fun to take the girls to places specific to Colorado Springs, and what better place than the Air Force Academy. I kept talking the AFA up to the girls about how cool it was and how awesome it would be to tell their friends they went to the AFA, and the response I got was like, "oh, ok....what's this place called again?" :)

In all the years I have lived here, I don't think I have ever stopped to take pictures at the B-52.

Please click on the above picture and notice how Isaac is pulling his shirt up...no idea what sparked that. :) Then we went to the visitor's center. The girls seemed to think it was pretty cool, we didn't stay terribly long since it's not very big, but they seemed to like it. We watched a video on the AFA and they talked about sports in the video--specifically soccer---and I told the girls they could play soccer for the AFA and live with us. :)

After the AFA it was time to put Isaac down for the a nap. Once he woke up and we had dinner, we went to a Sky Sox baseball game with my dad. We got seats in the grass area and it was really a lot of fun. The kids had a BLAST playing with each other, they probably didn't watch one minute of the game, and we may have annoyed the people around us, but it was fun!

The girls would run away from Isaac and Isaac would chase them and say, "ROAR!" I captured many cute pictures of this!! The next day Mo kept trying to reenact this.

They played the drum on Isaac's belly.

And then they threw grass at each other. Isaac tried his first bite of cotton candy and thought it was ok....

And the girls ate the rest. :) Hi mom and dad!

We left after the 4th inning and my dad treated us all to ice cream!

It was another great and busy day!!!

Day One

When I noticed I had taken about 150 pictures in 3 days, I figured I better start posting. :) This week we have had the privilege of having two of our nieces stay with us--Sydney and Morgan. So let our crazy adventure filled week begin! They flew in on Sunday night....

Here is Syd and Mo getting off of their first plane ride. I was standing right in front of the gate door waiting for them and then screamed when I saw them---people must have thought I was weird!

"Mom, we made it to Colorado!"

They were so excited to ride on the train at the airport.
Syd and Mo made Isaac so happy on the car ride home. He loved having people in the backseat with him....I'm a little worried what it will be like when they leave now and Isaac is back to being by himself.

As you can tell, for whatever reason, Isaac started putting his leg over the side of the carseat resulting in his foot in front of Morgan's face...so random but so funny.

Ok, now we are on Monday. We decided to go to the zoo and then have lunch with Taylor at a park afterwards. Syd and Mo went on pony rides.

We saw the grizzly bears. (And the lions and tigers and.... oh my!) See him in the water?

Syd fed a bird and even pet it!

After the zoo and lunch with Taylor, we went home and put Isaac down for a nap. The girls played out back in the waterfall most of the afternoon. Once Taylor got home and we had dinner and FHE, we went to IT'Z--a family fun center. The girls had an unlimited play pass and had tons of fun--so did Taylor. :)

(Side note: After seeing these pictures, I can hear you in my head Heather (The girl's mom) saying, "I hate their hair in their face!" Monday morning I told Mo I would do her hair cuz Syd said she'd do a pony tail, but Mo came to me with her hair down and said, "I want to wear my hair like this." Being the "whatever goes" mood, I said ok. Come to remember later that you hate their hair in their face...I'm doing better now! Today we did a braid and yesterday was a pony tail! :) ha ha ha)

Isaac was so scared to go in this bounce thing, so Taylor thought if he went in then Isaac would go in....nope....just Taylor went in...hahahaha

Horse racing....(remember, I said Taylor had fun too....haha)

The girls went on a car ride, it was pretty funny cuz it would fling them around on the ends.

Daddy and son watching the girls.
Bumper cars.... ( I told you Heather, I am getting better with the hair...can only get better from here, right?!)

Isaac loved the car rides....

All these girls around, but still true boy.

Even had a mini bowling alley...it was a lot of fun! (P.S. like the bruise on my arm? I ran into a door. I was attempting to get the stroller through a door, and I got the stroller through but I didn't get myself through...oww.)
Even Isaac has skills! :)
It was a fun first day! The next day Mo kept asking, "Can we go back to IT'Z?" The girls got tickets as well from some of the games and loved getting prizes with them.
