Isaac got four shots today!! Sad! Both Taylor and I were able to go to the visit, I'm very grateful that Taylor was able to go and that he cared to go. Anyway--back to the shots--I was right by his head and holding his hands and when they pricked him (they have two nurses give the shots and they give two at the exact same time, twice--obviously, that makes four shots in total) and when the first two went in, Isaac just screamed!! His face turned BRIGHT red and he was crying so hard it was like he wouldn't breathe...it was terrible...especially for mom and dad. But it was over quickly and Isaac calmed right down and by the time we put him in his
carseat he was all smiles again. So he was a trooper! Now for the percentiles...(Kim, I thought about you the whole time) :-) Isaac weighs 12 lbs even, is 23 1/4 inches long and his head was 40 cm I think. So, he's in the 50
th percentile for his weight, length, and head. What can I say? Our baby is perfectly proportioned!
The battle wounds:

I was thinking after this appointment how some parents tend to "bribe" or "spoil" their kids after doctor visits where they get shots or even when they get hurt...I totally understand it now. Because honestly, I felt so bad for Isaac, I would do anything for him to make him feel better...obviously there's not much I can do for him now, but when he gets older I can totally see myself taking him for ice cream or getting a treat to ease the trauma of the doctor!
Oh...and seeing how today is the 6
th, a.k.a. two months...it's time to keep with the tradition and post a picture of Isaac in the same spot with the same teddy bear...
Here he is at one month again:

And here he is at two months....does he look bigger to you?

What do you think??

Aren't shots the absolute worst?! The pictures are adorable--he does look bigger! He sure likes to look at whatever is by your fireplace. The tree maybe? But I guess he was looking in that direction in his 1 month picture too. That's ok because he has such a cute profile!
Well at least his legs are sportin the holiday season with those festive bandaids :) Geez, I know the stats show otherwise, but he almost looks smaller to me. But, I think it's just because he's farther away from the camera. And plus it's almost midnight and I'm seeing a little blurry, so that could do it too!
he looks great! And I love the onesie :)
I hate that the mom has to stand by the head... then they are looking right into your eyes when they get pricked. I always want to say, it's not me, I promise, it's that bad mean nurse. :) I gotta be honest, he doesn't look bigger with the bear, but I think just because the pic is not as close. I can tell his face is filling out though - what a perfectly proportioned cutie!
He is sooooo precious! Shots are the worst thing ever!! I always make Bobby come to those appointments with me. I can't believe Tyler is only 5 lbs bigger than Issac and they're 7 months apart; that just tells you how little my guy is!! Issac is perfect!
He is getting so big! What a cutie. I just took Kate to her 4 month appointment, and let me say it doesn't get any easier. As soon as the ladies walked in the room she started screaming, apparently she remembered her last appointment. He's adorable, good job on making a cute baby.
Umm, it's time for you to make a quick roadtrip to Utah next weekend. You can sleep at our house on an air mattress. We'll have moved all of our furniture by then so there will be plenty of room! We'd come there but I have to teach relief society. But really, Isaac is getting big and needs to visit his auntie.
Ouch! No fun!! But he does look dang cute! So Isaac is 6 weeks younger than Eli right? Well... they weigh just about the same! Crazy. Isaac is getting so big! I love the teddy bear Idea! hope all is well! We have got to talk! love ya!
